The Original: The brief: This selection of rather frantic runners has been compiled from the excellent Hemera Photo Objects collections. What I want to know is: what are they running from? Or to?
The originals: The brief: It's nearly the end of April, which means Gordon (GKB) is only days away from his retirement. It's a significant time in anyone's life, so I thought we should mark it in suitable forum style. As you may be aware, when he's not shuffling pixels on his screen Gordon is, for the time being at least, an air traffic controller. Seems to me this offers huge potential for some mild ribaldry! Gordon's sent me a couple of pictures for you to choose from, as well as a view of the control tower where he works: high res are here, here and here. Take your pick!
The original: The brief: I'd like a new window in the wall behind the table. What sort of window? What's the view like outside? Well, that's up to you. Who knows, if you come up with anything I really like I might just get the builders in. Remember, though that walls have thickness.
The original: The brief: I was in Paris over Easter (yes, yes, I know, but I really like it there) and this time we rented an apartment in the Marais. The place itself was pretty good, but the stairway looked as if it hadn't been redecorated since the days of the Resistance. Spotted this rather curious assemblage over one of the doorways. What on earth could it have been made to keep in? Or out?
The original:The brief: A (presumably) life size model of a pig in a chef's costume. Hard to miss, this one. What I was wondering is: how could this pig make himself inconspicuous? In other words, if he wanted to blend into the surroundings, where would he go?
The original:The brief: My son Joe met Prince Charles this week, and I got this photo of the event. Trouble is, the back of his classmate's head is in the way, and there's a ghastly background. Can we make him something rather more splendid to suit the occasion?
Finished work: "Well, you said build me a palace ..."
